LA Set Construction had the honor of partnering with Disney to fabricate an iconic Minnie Mouse statue in celebration of the company’s 100-year anniversary. This cherished project required precision, artistry, and close collaboration with Disney to meet their high standards. The final statue, placed outdoors at Disneyland Park, was designed to evoke magic and joy while reflecting Minnie Mouse’s timeless charm.
Our task began with crafting Minnie Mouse using high-density foam. To ensure the statue could withstand environmental exposure and physical impact, we applied hard coat as a protective outer layer. This coating not only gave the foam durability and longevity but also protected it from abrasion and wear.
Throughout the 1.5-month production period, we maintained regular meetings with Disney, ensuring every design element aligned with their vision. Disney’s team provided detailed feedback on the shadowing, color placement, and overall appearance to ensure the final product perfectly reflected Minnie’s essence.
The finished Minnie Mouse statue now resides outdoors at Disneyland Park, adding an enchanting touch to the centennial celebration. The iridescent paint glistens beautifully under the sun’s reflection, embodying Disney’s magic in every angle. This project exemplifies LA Set Construction’s dedication to delivering beyond expectations and meeting the creative and functional demands of high-profile clients.
This case study highlights LA Set Construction’s ability to bring characters to life through custom fabrication, seamless collaboration, and high attention to detail. Whether it’s for themed environments or intricate statues like Minnie Mouse, we are committed to delivering magical results that exceed expectations.
